Light exposure patterns linked to various health outcomes in people with chronic fatigue syndrome

Updated

Abstract

Light exposure may significantly influence the severity of Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).

  • Circadian rhythms and sleep-wake cycles are regulated by light, impacting overall well-being.
  • Patients with ME/CFS frequently report circadian disruption and poor sleep quality.
  • The connection between light exposure levels and the severity of ME/CFS symptoms is still not well understood.
