Using fat-based particles to deliver gene-silencing RNA targeting a membrane enzyme in a human stomach cancer model in mice

Updated

Abstract

Essence

carrying anti- siRNA improved tumor delivery and strengthened fluorouracil activity in a gastric cancer xenograft model.

Evidence

This was an in vitro and nude-mouse subcutaneous NUGC-3 gastric cancer xenograft experiment comparing LNP-loaded siRNA with naked siRNA and combination therapy with 5-FU versus 5-FU alone.

Caveat

The evidence is preclinical, uses an immunodeficient mouse xenograft model, and does not establish human efficacy or safety.
