Local Low-Frequency Vibration May Improve Wound Healing and Reduce Cell Aging in High Blood Sugar Rats

Abstract

Local low-frequency vibration applied twice daily significantly accelerated wound closure in a hyperglycemic rat model.

  • Twice-daily treatment reduced the relative wound area compared to the control group.
  • Molecular analyses showed a decrease in PTX3-positive cells and p53 expression with twice-daily vibration treatment.
  • Senescence-related genes, including Cdkn1a and Rb1, were downregulated in both tissues and exudates from the treatment group.
  • The number of p53-positive cells in exudate was lower in the twice-daily treatment group.
  • Local low-frequency vibrations may influence senescence-related pathways and inflammation.
