Breathing and energy limits in people with long COVID

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Long COVID was linked to lower walking capacity, lower oxygen uptake, and poorer ventilatory efficiency than short-COVID or control status.

Evidence

This cross-sectional comparison with six-month longitudinal follow-up studied 94 Long COVID participants, 100 Short COVID participants, and 70 controls during 6-minute walk testing.

Caveat

No significant Group x Time interaction emerged, so the follow-up did not show a distinct change trajectory between groups.
