Mitochondrial dysfunction and impaired mitophagy in proximal tubule epithelial cells are central to the pathogenesis of Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD).
- Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) is linked to problems in how cells manage their energy factories, the mitochondria.
- The herbal formula Modified Hu-lu-ba-wan (MHLBW) has been clinically validated for use in DKD patients.
