A flexible mRNA system to trigger immune-targeted cancer cell death

Updated

Abstract

Essence

TITUR is a customizable mRNA nanomedicine platform that may focus immunogenic cell death induction within tumours.

Evidence

This preclinical platform study tested tumour-customizable ionizable lipids and untranslated regions for 4HB mRNA delivery in murine melanoma and triple-negative breast cancer models, including combinations with immune checkpoint inhibitors.

Caveat

The evidence is limited to mouse tumour models and platform comparisons, so human efficacy, personalization feasibility, and long-term safety remain unproven.
