Abstract
Evidence supporting the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP1-RA) in individuals aged 80 years and older remains limited.
- Limited data exist on treatment persistence of SGLT2i and GLP1-RA in older adults.
- Real-world outcomes for these medications in individuals aged 80 and above are not well established.
- The effectiveness and safety of SGLT2i and GLP1-RA in this age group require further investigation.
