Mouse egg cell types show different blastocyst responses to resveratrol and vitamin B12

Updated

Abstract

Blastocyst formation rates varied significantly across three distinct oocyte clusters, with an overall increase from 36.97% to 56.00% when optimal culture conditions were applied.

  • Three morphological oocyte clusters were identified, with blastocyst formation rates of 28.2%, 42.4%, and 34.9%.
  • In Cluster 1, blastocyst formation improved from 28.2% to 48.7% with specific supplementation conditions.
  • Cluster 3 showed an increase in blastocyst formation from 34.9% to 60.4% with different supplementation.
  • Cluster 2 had a non-significant increase in blastocyst formation from 42.4% to 57.9%.
  • Older oocytes demonstrated lower developmental competence compared to younger oocytes.
  • Optimal culture conditions based on cluster and age improved blastocyst formation rates significantly.
