Improving mRNA vaccine performance using special molecule helpers

Updated

Abstract

A conjugate of β-cyclodextrin and branched polyethyleneimine enhances the delivery of mRNA vaccines.

  • The conjugate facilitates the entry of mRNA into cells and its release from endosomes, improving transfection efficiency.
  • Structural modifications of mRNA, including an advanced cap structure and extended poly(A) tail, increase protein expression levels.
  • Lower dosages of the modified mRNA may still induce strong immune responses.
  • The route of administration is associated with varying immune responses for CP-assisted mRNA vaccines.
