Aberrant one-carbon metabolism and homozygous MTHFR C677T status were linked to more severe COVID-19 trajectories.

Evidence

A longitudinal patient plasma metabolomics study with targeted metabolite profiling and genomic data identified methionine-cycle differences associated with severe COVID-19.
