  • HLA-E and HLA-G in epithelial and immune cells were linked to increased risk of prostate and lung cancers.
  • MAP2K4 was identified as a potential risk factor for breast cancer.
  • ZFP36L1 and STAT3 were associated with a lower risk of inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Inhibition of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) by ETS2 correlated with decreased disease risk.
  • Single-cell analysis showed that gene expression patterns in immune cells were related to reduced disease risk, while patterns in epithelial cells were associated with increased risk.
