Measuring aging using multiple biological signs in Chinese women

Updated

Abstract

A cohort of 113 healthy women revealed four distinct biological functions associated with aging.

  • Four aging modalities were identified: chronic inflammation, lipid metabolism, hormone regulation, and tissue fitness.
  • Biological pathway changes peak around the third and fifth decades of life.
  • Developed aging clocks can measure biological age and assess partial aging deceleration through hormone replacement therapy.
  • These metrics capture systemic physiological dysregulation and could aid in monitoring the aging process.
