Silk Fibroin Wound Dressing with Fibronectin and Lysostaphin Speeds Healing by Mimicking Natural Tissue Structure and Providing Two Types of Support

Updated

Abstract

Fn-rLys-Col/SF-S healed skin defects one week earlier than the control group.

  • The biomimetic dressing demonstrated good water vapor balance and antibacterial properties.
  • In vitro tests indicated it is non-toxic to cells and promotes cell proliferation and migration.
  • The newly formed skin structure at 21 days closely resembled normal skin.
  • Immunohistochemistry and qRT-PCR results showed reduced inflammation and enhanced collagen deposition.
  • The dressing may promote angiogenesis and regulate the degree of fibrosis.
