Abstract

PMRH nanoparticles effectively scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the osteoarthritis microenvironment.

  • Osteoarthritis is associated with oxidative stress and abnormal activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.
  • Resveratrol and platinum nanozymes were loaded onto a metal-organic framework to create a new nanoparticle system.
  • The PMRH nanoparticles are designed to inhibit the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and eliminate ROS simultaneously.
  • In vitro and in vivo results indicate that PMRH nanoparticles can efficiently reduce ROS levels in osteoarthritis-affected areas.
  • The dual-target approach of PMRH nanoparticles suggests potential for improved prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis.
