Blood metabolite and protein patterns that distinguish normal mice from slow-aging mice

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Plasma metabolite and peptide patterns, especially triglyceride-chain signals, distinguished slow-aging mice from controls.

Evidence

Machine-learning analysis of 12,000 metabolites and 17,000 peptides from 278 mice tested discrimination across five anti-aging interventions, long-lived mutants, and sexes.

Caveat

The models identify mouse biomarker signatures and do not by themselves prove prospective lifespan extension or human translatability.
