Updated

Abstract

As of mid-2025, approximately 1000 participants have been enrolled in the Novara Cohort Study.

  • The study investigates biological, psychological, and social factors influencing ageing.
  • It aims to identify early risk factors for frailty, allostatic load, and cognitive decline.
  • The protocol includes demographic, clinical, behavioral, cognitive, and psychosocial data, along with biological samples.
  • Preliminary results indicate the feasibility of integrating deep phenotyping and highlight roles of frailty in ageing.
  • Initial evidence suggests age-related changes in inflammatory proteins.
