Subcutaneous semaglutide users achieved a mean weight loss of 7.5% over 2 years, compared to 4.4% for oral users.

  • 58.7% of subcutaneous users achieved at least 5% weight loss, while 50.9% of oral users did.
  • 32.9% of subcutaneous users reached at least 10% weight loss compared to 17.5% of oral users.
  • Significant differences were found in mean percentage weight change and proportion achieving ≥10% loss between the two formulations.
  • Older oral users experienced a greater weight loss compared to younger oral users.
  • No significant differences in weight loss were observed among subcutaneous users based on age.
