Engineered antibody parts allow delivery of multiple mRNA-made dual-target antibodies that limit virus evasion

Updated

Abstract

Serum neutralizing titers exceeding 1:10,000 were achieved with engineered bispecific antibodies in mice.

  • mRNA-encoded bispecific antibodies were designed to enhance therapeutic breadth against SARS-CoV-2.
  • High serum concentrations and extended half-lives were observed following intravenous administration.
  • A triple bispecific antibody combination demonstrated broad neutralization against various SARS-CoV-2 variants.
  • Preexposure prophylaxis with the antibody combination provided protection against the XBB.1.5 variant, reducing lung viral burden.
