Links Between Oxidative Balance and Biological Aging, and Possible Roles of Inflammation and Cholesterol Ratios in US Adults

Updated

Abstract

The evaluation focused on the relationship between the Oxidative Balance Score (OBS) and a novel biological age measure, GOLD BioAge.

  • A dose-response relationship may exist between the Oxidative Balance Score and biological age as assessed by GOLD BioAge.
  • Systemic Inflammation Response Index (SIRI) and uric acid may contribute to the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio.
  • The potential mediating roles of SIRI and uric acid in this context were quantified.
