Pbk helps muscle cells develop and repair by boosting energy-related self-cleaning processes

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Pbk appears to support differentiation and muscle repair by promoting AMPK/ULK1-linked .

Evidence

Cell, patient-tissue, and mouse injury experiments tested Pbk knockdown or overexpression, kinase activity, AMPK/ULK1 autophagy signaling, and regenerative myofibers.

Caveat

The functional regeneration evidence is preclinical and includes knockdown in a mouse injury model, so therapeutic relevance in human muscle disease is untested.
