Light physical activity awake time increased by 25% and moderate-vigorous physical activity increased four times after total knee arthroplasty.

  • Sedentary behavior remained unchanged after total knee arthroplasty.
  • Daily energy expenditure showed a significant increase post-operatively.
  • Subjective functional scores improved significantly after surgery.
  • Knee flexion angle increased significantly following the procedure.
  • No significant change in muscle strength around the knee was observed.
