Fast Wound Healing Linked to Taking NAD+ Supplements by Mouth: A Case Study

Updated

Abstract

A 59-year-old woman showed complete closure of a deep surgical wound by postoperative day 40 after starting 1500 mg of modulated oral LathMized NAD+ (LNAD+).

  • Postoperative wound infections can lead to chronic open wounds, increased medical costs, and reduced quality of life.
  • The patient experienced significant wound dehiscence and fibrinous exudate by postoperative day 14 despite standard interventions.
  • After initiating LNAD+ supplementation, the patient's healing progressed from full-thickness dehiscence to granulation within days.
  • Complete wound closure occurred on postoperative day 40 without any reported adverse reactions.
  • Possible mechanisms for the improved healing may include reduced inflammation and enhanced metabolic activity related to SIRT1.
