Resveratrol-enriched stem cell exosomes in a lab model of Parkinson’s disease

Updated

Abstract

Exo-Res demonstrated a high yield of 3.9 × 1011 particles/mL11 particles/mL** with a sustained release of Res over 4 hours.

  • Exo-Res significantly reduced whole protein aggregation in an in vitro Parkinson's disease model.
  • It mitigated oxidative stress and enhanced neuronal survival compared to free Res or unloaded exosomes.
  • Exo-Res preserved mitochondrial function more effectively than both free Res and unloaded exosomes.
  • The isolation technique influenced the yield and characteristics of exosomes, impacting their therapeutic efficacy.
