Resveratroloside reduces aging signs in cells by improving energy production and DNA organization

Updated

Abstract

Resveratrol glucoside (R-glc) showed markedly reduced cytotoxicity compared to resveratrol (RSV).

  • R-glc effectively improved multiple signs of cellular aging at low concentrations.
  • Enhanced mitochondrial function was observed, indicated by increased oxidative phosphorylation and decreased reliance on glycolysis.
  • R-glc upregulated SIRT6, an enzyme associated with cellular health, and decreased H3K9 acetylation, suggesting better chromatin stability.
  • These findings support the potential of R-glc as a safer alternative for modulating age-related cellular changes.
