Abstract

ANXA7 expression was significantly reduced in inflamed tissues of Crohn's disease patients.

  • A correlation exists between reduced ANXA7 levels and inflammatory markers related to Crohn's disease.
  • RNF168 promotes the degradation of ANXA7, which may suppress autophagy and induce pyroptosis through the NLRP3 inflammasome.
  • Manipulating RNF168 and ANXA7 in vitro can rescue biological functions impaired by RNF168 knockdown.
  • ELK1 has been identified as a transcription factor that upregulates RNF168, linking it to inflammation and disease progression.
