Updated

Abstract

Among 200 semaglutide-related videos, medical information content scored higher on quality assessments than personal experience videos.

  • No statistically significant differences in quality scores were found between TikTok and Bilibili.
  • Non-professional organizations scored higher on quality assessments compared to individual creators.
  • Engagement metrics, such as likes, showed a weak correlation with video quality.
  • Longer videos were associated with higher quality scores but did not lead to increased user engagement.
  • The findings suggest the need for improved platform governance to prioritize evidence-based content.
