Abstract

Essence

Dasatinib plus quercetin disrupted oligodendrocyte function and myelination in preclinical models.

Evidence

Preclinical mouse and primary rat oligodendrocyte culture experiments found D+Q-associated demyelination, reduced myelin basic protein and complexity, and gene-expression signals of endoplasmic reticulum stress.

Caveat

The findings come from naive mice and cell cultures, not people with multiple sclerosis or a therapeutic disease model.
