A mediating role of sense of coherence explained 52.7% of the total effect of social capital on health-promoting lifestyle among 452 empty nesters.

  • Sense of coherence may mediate the relationship between social capital and health-promoting lifestyles.
  • The mediating effect of sense of coherence was significant, with a coefficient of β=0.367.
