Two-way links between lupus and anxiety disorder using genetic analysis

Updated

Abstract

No statistically significant causal association was found between systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and anxiety disorder.

  • Genetically predicted SLE did not show an increased risk for anxiety disorder (OR = 1.000, 95% CI = 0.992 to 1.008).
  • Anxiety disorder was not associated with an increased risk for SLE (OR = 1.000, 95% CI = 0.992 to 1.008).
  • The results remained consistent across various supplementary analysis methods.
  • Sensitivity analysis indicated high stability of the findings.
