Tirzepatide use is associated with a 53% lower risk of new-onset heart failure in patients with obesity.

  • The study included 381,026 matched individuals, with 190,513 in each group.
  • Tirzepatide use was linked to a lower risk of 1-year all-cause mortality (HR, 0.31).
  • Patients on tirzepatide experienced a 54% reduction in hospitalization risk (HR, 0.46).
  • The risk of major adverse cardiovascular events was also reduced by 45% (HR, 0.55).
  • Consistent results were observed across various subgroups, including age, sex, and comorbidities.
