  • Sedentary S1-treated rats exhibited persistent elevation of certain inflammatory gene expressions 18 days after treatment.
  • Voluntary wheel running (VWR) mitigated the persistent upregulation of neuroinflammatory genes in S1-treated rats.
  • Increased hypothalamic corticosterone levels were observed in VWR S1-treated rats, suggesting a potential role in behavioral symptoms.
