Abstract

Wnt5a and autophagy-related protein levels increased significantly in DHT-induced granulosa cells.

  • Downregulation of Wnt5a in granulosa cells led to a significant decrease in autophagy-related factor levels compared to the DHT group.
  • Wnt5a downregulation is associated with significant increases in factors related to the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.
  • In a mouse model of PCOS, treatment with BOX5 restored androgen levels and improved ovarian morphology.
  • BOX5 treatment also suppressed autophagy-related factors in ovarian granulosa cells.
