Rare but severe adverse events (AEs) associated with mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) COVID-19 vaccines include anaphylaxis and inflammatory organ disorders.
- The underlying mechanisms of these adverse events are poorly understood.
- An animal model is being developed to study these severe adverse effects.
- Understanding these mechanisms may help in addressing safety concerns related to COVID-19 vaccines.
