A total of 10 studies were identified that examined the use of artificial intelligence in workplace health promotion and prevention (WHPP).

  • Risk prevention and modeling were the most common WHPP fields addressed, with 6 studies focused on these areas.
  • Behavioral health promotion was covered in 4 studies, while only 1 study addressed organizational health promotion.
  • Mental health was the focus of 4 studies within the reviewed literature.
  • Most AI algorithms utilized were based on machine learning, with 3 studies employing combined deep learning algorithms.
  • AI technologies were primarily implemented through smartphone apps or utilized smartphone data sources.
  • Behavioral interventions varied in duration from 8 to 12 weeks and were compared to control groups.
