Foenumoside B May Reduce Radiation Lung Injury by Linking Cell Cleanup and Antioxidant Systems Through AMPK

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Foenumoside B may protect irradiated lung tissue by activating AMPK-linked and antioxidant signaling.

Evidence

This preclinical study used a 20 Gy murine total lung irradiation model plus alveolar epithelial cell experiments, pharmacologic blockade, PINK1 silencing, docking, Co-IP, and ChIP assays.

Caveat

The evidence is preclinical and mechanism-heavy, with oral 10 mg/kg/day dosing in mice and cellular perturbation assays rather than human radiotherapy outcomes.
