Abstract

Comparative effectiveness of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) and sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT-2is) in reducing asthma exacerbations is inconsistent.

Antihyperglycemic drugs may contribute to improved asthma control.
GLP-1 RAs and SGLT-2is have been studied for their potential impact on asthma exacerbations.
Current evidence does not clearly favor one class of drug over the other for asthma management.
