Abstract

A 73-year-old female developed one week after starting .

  • Appendicitis may occur in patients taking Tirzepatide, a GLP1/GIP receptor agonist.
  • The patient had no typical risk factors or obvious triggers for appendicitis.
  • Symptoms improved significantly after discontinuation of Tirzepatide.
  • CT imaging showed improvement following the cessation of the medication.
  • Appendicitis is infrequently reported as a side effect of GLP1/GIP receptor agonists in clinical studies.
