At-Home Ketamine Injections Supported by Telehealth for Adults with Moderate to Severe Depression, Anxiety, or PTSD: Safety, Practical Use, and Outcomes in a Large U.S. Group

Abstract

Patients showed a significant reduction in depression, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms after 6 sessions of at-home subcutaneous ketamine treatment.

  • PHQ-9 scores decreased from 14.64 to 6.30, indicating a large effect size (1.35).
  • GAD-7 scores dropped from 13.06 to 6.09, also showing a large effect size (1.58).
  • PCL-5 scores reduced from 46.7 to 27.5, with a strong effect size.
  • 81.8% of patients with major depressive disorder achieved the Minimal Clinically Important Difference.
  • Adverse events were low, ranging from 2.8% to 3.2%, with no serious complications noted.
