A 60-year-old woman experienced a drastic weight loss from 113 kg to 50.3 kg after bariatric surgery and medication.
- The patient had severe obesity with a BMI of 47.0 before undergoing laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.
- Semaglutide and tirzepatide therapy began one month post-surgery.
- Three years after surgery, the patient developed atypical anorexia nervosa due to rapid weight loss and a fear of weight gain.
- Her body image obsession persisted despite a normal weight with a BMI of 20.9.
