An adolescent girl with atypical anorexia nervosa experienced significant weight loss after discontinuing semaglutide.
- Atypical anorexia nervosa may occur even when body mass index is normal.
- The adolescent exhibited fear of gaining weight, increased exercise, and reduced caloric intake.
- During hospitalization, she presented with bradycardia and pericardial effusion.
- Semaglutide was previously prescribed for weight-related dysphoria due to being near overweight.
- After stopping semaglutide, the girl continued to lose weight.
- A subsequent panic attack following a weight gain of 1 kg led to her admission to an eating disorder ward.
