Updated

Abstract

Post-COVID syndrome (PCS) may cause persistent symptoms for months following SARS-CoV-2 infection.

  • PCS is characterized by symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness, cognitive difficulties, and sleep disturbances lasting beyond 12 weeks.
  • These symptoms can significantly impair daily functioning and overall quality of life.
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) may improve psychological flexibility and support behavioral changes in individuals with long-term health conditions.
  • Balance-ACT is an adapted ACT-based intervention designed specifically to address the physical and psychological needs of those experiencing PCS.
