Plant-based formula TADIOS reduces lung injury caused by inflammation in mice by affecting the body's antioxidant defense system

Abstract

TADIOS, an herbal formulation, alleviated lung damage in a mouse model of acute lung injury.

  • TADIOS was shown to suppress the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL-1β in mouse macrophage cells.
  • Treatment with TADIOS increased the activity of antioxidant responsive elements in a dose-dependent manner.
  • In a mouse model, TADIOS reduced neutrophil infiltration and lung damage induced by LPS.
  • TADIOS treatment inhibited oxidative stress and the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines related to LPS exposure.
  • Activation of the Nrf2-HO-1 signaling pathway was observed following TADIOS treatment.
