Reducing Long Noncoding RNAs Using Cas13d

Updated

Abstract

DeepCas13 achieves high accuracy in predicting Cas13d on-target activity for RNA interference.

  • CRISPR-Cas13 systems can effectively knock down long noncoding RNA (lncRNA), which is resistant to traditional Cas9 methods.
  • A deep learning model, DeepCas13, was developed specifically for predicting the effectiveness of Cas13d in targeting RNA.
  • The described protocols facilitate the design of sgRNA and experimental procedures using lentiviral vectors for lncRNA knockdown.
  • The approach can also be adapted for knocking down other RNA types, including messenger RNA and circular RNA.
