The chemical additives-enhanced CRISPR/Cas12a-based RNA detection (CARD) achieves femtomolar-level RNA detection using only a single crRNA.
- CARD does not require DNA activators, reverse transcription, or strand-displacement reactions.
- This method can also be adapted for single-stranded DNA detection at attomolar levels.
