  • The circadian clock and red/far-red light signals regulate the oscillatory expression of CSA.
  • Knockdown of CSA in leaves is associated with reduced pollen viability.
  • Distinct regions of the CSA promoter differentially regulate CSA expression in leaves and anthers.
  • Both CSA expression levels in anthers and its rhythmic expression in leaves are linked to male fertility restoration.
  • Two proteins, PIL11 and DOF5, directly bind to motifs in the CSA promoter, influencing its transcription.
