Abstract
COPD patients showed higher rhythm fragmentation and lower relative amplitude compared to controls.
- COPD patients had an intradaily variability (IV) of 0.242, significantly higher than the 0.182 observed in controls.
- The average activity during the least active 5-hour period (L5) was greater in COPD patients at 36.849 compared to 19.888 in controls.
- Relative amplitude mean (RAm) in COPD patients was lower at 0.696 versus 0.833 in controls, indicating less synchronization to the light-dark cycle.
- These findings suggest altered circadian rhythms in individuals with COPD.
