Essence

An in silico analysis suggests SARS-CoV-2 -related host interactions may perturb brain, heart, and lung pathways tied to inflammation, phagosomes, cell cycle, and cancer-associated signals.

Evidence

This bioinformatics and systems study analyzed tissue-specific protein interaction networks around NSP6-interacting proteins, identified and pathways, and mapped possible drug targets in brain, heart, and lung.

Caveat

The cancer-incidence implication is hypothesis-generating because the study is computational and does not test infection outcomes, drug effects, or cancer risk in patients.
