BEstimate: a tool to plan and understand CRISPR base editing experiments

Updated

Abstract

BEstimate is a new computational tool for designing guide RNAs that may enhance targeted DNA mutagenesis.

  • BEstimate systematically identifies target sites for base editor guide RNAs.
  • It predicts both on-target activity and potential off-target effects of designed gRNAs.
  • The tool provides functional, structural, and clinical annotations for installed DNA variants.
  • BEstimate allows customization of gRNA designs for specific variant alleles.
  • It supports the reversion of disease-associated genetic variants.
