Highly efficient genome editing tools for oilseed rape with multiple chromosome sets

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Cas-SF01 expanded CRISPR editing options in oilseed rape by recognizing TTN PAMs and supporting mutagenesis and C-to-T base editing.

Evidence

This plant genome-editing platform experiment tested Cas-SF01 in allotetraploid Brassica napus protoplasts and stable transformed lines, comparing Cas9 activity across multiple target sites and checking putative off-target sites.

Caveat

The evidence is limited to tested targets and putative off-target sites, so genome-wide specificity and crop-trait performance were not established.
