Highly sensitive CRISPR-Cas12a fluorescence test using porous silica materials to detect genetic markers without amplification

Updated

Abstract

Essence

A mesoporous-silica CRISPR-Cas12a fluorescence platform enabled amplification-free detection of three nucleic acid targets at attomolar limits.

Evidence

A biosensor development study tested RB@MSN fluorescent probes with Au nanoparticle quenching for EGFR 19Del, ASFV, and HPV, reporting detection limits of 55 aM, 51 aM, and 24 aM.

Caveat

The abstract reports analytical performance, repeatability, and stability, but not clinical, veterinary, or food-safety validation in real diagnostic workflows.
